UIC BUILDING MRT CONNECTION

Public Space

The UIC building is directly accessible to the Shenton Way MRT Station via an underground connection. We were appointed to assist with the design of this commercially owned public space that serves as the entrance to visitors coming via the MRT Station. An articulately crafted Stainless Steel screen was introduced to give greater spatial definition to the lift area while also serving to add a sense of movement and directionality to the space. Gently textured surfaces and a grey sandstone tiled feature wall adorned the vertical surfaces while bright blue accents were introduced to relate back to UIC building’s corporate colours and key architectural features.
